Field fence unroller

I bought a fabric fence unroller-stretcher from Del's in Chehalis, WA. I have attached a .pdf file showing how it works. I have used it extensively and love it.

Tractor supply sells the 3ph version. Here are some pictures of the one I made. A short pin drops in from the top to secure the vertical shaft. I use the plywood disk to avoid rubbing the zinc off the bottom fence wire. I don't know for sure that that would be a problem but I don't want to take any chances on compromising the life of the expensive goat wire I used.





I modeled mine after a green one I saw and took pictures of. Mine has 2 levers for a quicker clamping action.

It's awfully simple, but mine is a pole that sticks into the receiver hitch that is welded to the top of my bucket. It is a bit longer than you may think, but that's because I can pick the wire up with it and then tilt the bucket up and unroll the fence. And I can also just leave vertical to unroll a bit of fence off by hand if need be. While I don't do alot of fencing, I've have used it several times and it works great.

Here's one that is made commercially, but don't have any idea who it's made by. This one attaches to the 3pt hitch though, it's just laying on its side.
