From my understandings, CNH is close to making money. They have sunk a lot of money into new products and combining both Case-IH and NH lines into one common platform. If Fiat would rid themselves of Fiat's auto problem which is their main problem they would help themselves considerably. The problem is they won't. The owners have a thing for their auto division and don't want to part with it so they would rather put their entire company into the poor house to support their hobby company. As for Agco buying CNH, never would happen. Agco would never be allowed to because it would make them too big and would leave two major companies to compete against themselves. CNH would most likely sell off their plants and each plant carries a line so their product lines would be sold off like when NH had to sell the Versatile/Genesis plant to Buhler. Of course if it did happen I would not be surprised to see John Buhler buy up one or two of CNH's other lines to give him more tractors for the market and make him a larger player. Agco would buy the Steiger plant to give them a decent 4wd tractor and John Deere would buy their Boomer line to give themselves a decent compact /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif (that was a joke so don't start flaming me /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
