No doubt. I don't know what was patented on the Festool Track Saw system and as I mentioned a few, there are several nice features. The zero clearance fence, the riving knife, but also two cams on the saw to adjust the sloppiness in the track rail, the non slip pads on the underside of the track, depth of cut presets w/fine tuning for both using with and w/o the track, and the ability to daisy chain multiple tracks together for very long straight cuts. I sound like a salesman for them. Maybe they will send me a free tool? :laughing:Patents may have expired and more track saws will become available. Dewalt and Kreg have them, not many lumber yards carry them in store.
