Yeah, when we bought our place, I found the back stake property markers 2FT on the other side of the almost down fence. The owner was of Irish decent. It was his way or no way. Then in 2022, the older owner died from complications due to a covid lung condition.LOL... I'm sure I posted on a thread about encroachments. It can be quite the rabbit hole!
The new owner took months to even walk back there as it's dense and over grown. I plan on Summer 2026 to begin work to yank out the old barb wire runs and so old metal posts that snap off at the base. Lots of this has young trees grown up thru the old fence. Then work with the new neighbor getting a reliable fence up.
Sometimes fencing encounters of encroachment can literally mean . . .
