Kioti DK40SE /W FEL
I now have 9 hours on my DK40SE and already having problem with the dump function with the FEL. Perhaps it nothing major so I am just asking for some opinions. When I go to dump (curl down) it seems to quit half way and I must move the bucket up (curl up) and then back to the dump position a little to get it to fully unload. It kinds of stutters a bit and sometimes it does not move at all until I pivot the bucket to the level position. I had this problem yesterday and drove back to the house and fully wash every nook and cranny off the 401 loader. Every other direction moves great. Also when I go to dump, it make a small snapping sound. It does not do this when moving in any other position. Could it simply be air in the line?

I have a dk 45 and when it was new it sometimes wouldn't dump at all I would have to move the joystick back and forth after a few bounces ir would work I talked to a friend he said there was probably a air pocket that at times would shift and said in tome it would work itself out I have 250 hours on it now and it done it last tome about 100 hours ago guess he was right

Jesse, thank you for the response. I think you are probably right.

Mine did this to me yesterday. It has done it before a few times. I honestly atrributed it to operator error. I have found when curling it stalls sometimes. I usually am running low rpms when this happens. Bumping up the rpms or just wiggling the joystick a little bit makes it go away. I am thinking the rpms may have something to do with it though. At almost 200 hours I am still just getting to know my dk45se. I just do like my Kioti.

Tpulley, your right...bump the rpm's up...HST's love rpms and don't perform worth a hoot much below 2,0000. I usually run about 2,200 for most tasks, and for real heavy stuff I put the rpms on the max red line which is somewhere around 2,500.

Boomer, it should not be making a snapping sound. Can some articulate the dump mode while you try and isolate the noise? Sounds like something is binding.

I thought this was strange too. It only makes a snapping noise during the dump mode. I try and see if I can isolate where it is coming from tomorrow. Thanks

Hmmm... Have you tried going all the way over to the fast dump setting? My loader will temporary stop uncurling as it switches from normal dumping to the fast dumping.
Also is it the sticky factory grease you are hearing?, I think I recall hearing that... I'm at 90 hours so the factory grease was displaced many months ago.

Hmmm - Never consider it being factory grease sticking. I'm only at 12 hours on the new tractor and I haven't heard or read there is a fast dump setting? Can you elaborate?

The fast dump is sort of like popping the down function on the loader to float position. You move the stick right to normally dump, and then go over some more and it seems the valve diverts more hydraulic flow some how to make the dump function go even faster.
