Hello All-
I have a 2009 Montana 3644R with a FEL - I need to replace the Joystick and figured I’d replace cables because she’s stored outside in dust/wind plagued North Colorado (or as I call it - southern Wyoming). Fine grit out here destroys everything over time - I’m almost sure the FEL was made by
Ameriquip or Quickie ( model #100R) and I used to be able to get parts online - but with LS no longer Montana friendly - their parts folks are less than helpful.
There is a Massey version of cables I can find online but they have threaded ends at the valve control rather than the pin / sleeve connector on my old girl.
If anyone has an idea of where to order the cable / joystick assembly - or has an original 100R FEL parts schematic - any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cable says 4K 5052 03/06 on it in pic
Thanks

Did you have any luck finding a new joystick?

My 3644R joystick housing cracked where the setscrews hold the cables. I have a temp fix but replacement is far overdue.

Hello Benny - I found a parts person in AZ that could order LS brand replacement set up but it was $$$$$ - I found a replacement Joystick and control cable set that worked on EBay (joystick doesn’t auto center and the control cables were 24” too long). I’m traveling g for work but will post a link over next day or two and the name of the contact at the part place in AZ if I can find (that is written down somewhere - *I think in my maintenance log* which isn’t computerized) If I remember correctly- I spent under $200 to replace everything myself. Dealer wanted $1000 for parts and $800-$1000 to install them. The only part that difficult/ requires an advanced skill set - is making the final adjustments to the tension of control cables so all functions work perfectly (I do not have advanced skills and while my install works - the joystick functions are less that perfect) suits my needs fine out on my horse boarding operation-

I just looked on EBay - the kit price has doubled - but they have joystick replacements for $186 - FYI the loader joystick was originally made by Quickie and branded Montana - Joystick 5020331 for VFG1009 Quicke Front Loader 310 320 330 340 610 620 630 640 | eBay
Make sure you check part #s to make sure it’s compatible with you loader - also don’t expect it to self-center without some considerable trial and error (just be safe when doing the testing after installing - as +\- tension in cables can cause that loaded to go up or down VERY fast - ask me how I know (almost one less barn cat after that incident ).
