The other night, I was pushing for time and had to park the tractor in my carport instead of it's normal trip to the barn. In order to get it under all the way, I had to raise the loader bucket over a few things. I just left it there like that, but the next morning, it had settled and was sitting on top. Nothing that would be hurt, I just wasn't expecting it would settle like that. Christmas day when I parked it back in it's spot, I purposely left it off the ground a few inches just to double check, and sure enough, yesterday morning it was back on the ground. Is this normal? I was expecting it to hold position....but if it's normal for it to ease back down no big deal. But if it's not normal, I need to get in touch with the dealer about getting it checked out.

I've never had a front end loader before, I know on any other tractor I've had, if the 3 pt didn't hold position it meant a back seal or something else in the hydraulic system

They will all drop, the question is how fast. My loader drops 1-2 inches per day (24 hours).
It also seems the smaller tractors with small cylinders leak down faster. It’s actually the same amount of oil leaking through the valve, but is amplified because the cylinders are much smaller..

yeah I've been doing some studying and have learned this is normal. I tried to delete the thread, but apparently there's not a way to do that. Not that I found anyway.

thanks for the replies!
