Actually, I have the DX-33. But anyway, I sold the farm but sectioned off 4 acres where I live. I don't need the Case-IH 685 for that small amount of land I have left. But that loader is really handy. What would be a good loader for my DX-33 and how much (roughly) would it cost to put it on? There are no remotes on this tractor. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I would not add a new loader to a used tractor unless I was getting the loader for a big discount. I would buy a new tractor with a loader or find a used tractor with a loader that I could trade for. I suppose you could even sell your tractor outright and then buy one with a loader. Some guys who sell loaders may disagree, but that's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it.

The reason I feel this way is value. If you put a new loader on a used tractor, the value will follow the used tractor, not the new loader. Your instant depreciation in value will be a bunch on that loader. If you love your tractor and plan to keep it forever, all this won't matter much, but you asked for an opinion and I'm not one to be bashful about mine.:D

Edit: I forgot to say that a LX114 will probably be the loader for your tractor. That's the same as the New Holland 14LA. My guess about price would be around $5k. The reason an addon loader is more is the addition of hydraulics, joystick, and loader support to the tractor. When you order a tractor with a loader as a new tractor, the dealer will order a "loader ready" tractor that comes that way from the factory. Having the tractor assembled in the factory is normally cheaper than if the dealer does it in his shop.

Jinman's advice is probably right on target.

FWIW - I've a 7308 loader on my TC33. If you happen to find a used 7308 without a bucket, I've got a spare I'll give you good deal on. :) Good luck.

Yeah, I know the dilemma I'm in. I'd have a hard time selling the DX. People around here don't want them. Too small for farm work and most people that have large acreage for yards use zero turn mowers. And hire out the small stuff. I'd rather have a multi purpose machine as I have a large garden and a long gravel driveway to maintain. I'd take a huge loss trying to get rid of it. So I may just have to bite the bullet and stick a loader on this one. Hoping to find out if other manufacturers make loaders for this thing in case the LX 114 is no longer available.
