FEL Bucket Clamp on Shovel

I have a Paulmco (Northern Tool) pallet fork version. I dont use it much & its crap compared to a backhoe. But it's better than a hand shovel & blowing out my back planting our live Christmas trees & such. Took me 15 minutes to dig the tree planting holes most of the time.

My L4060 unsuprisingly runs it better than my old L3200 did. But both are acceptable for small jobs. For bigger jobs I borrow a friends hoe or rent a mini-ex.

I dont use it much & it pales in comparison to the real thing, but I wont sell mine unless I get a real hoe at some point.

The extra length on the pallet forks makes visibility a lot better & gives you more depth. I'm pretty sure I wouldnt use a true bucket spade as much as my fork spade.

Whatever you do, dont back drag with a bucket spade. I got luck & only popped a fork off the frame & slightly bent the frame. The typical result is bent curl cylinders.

Ok, so here it is on the bucket.. I blew it when I figured the top clamp plates, they hit the toothbar. Sooooo, I chopped them down with the torch, now they look mean, ug, ugly.

You've made a very cool tool! I recommend using a load binder hooked from the top of the bucket to the lip of the bucket to take the stress off the lip so you don't end up with a smiling bucket.

Heck yeh it's better than a hand shovel! Why not? I've seen dudes on youtube digging out stumps with pallet forks, it works.
