KennyV - Thanks , I think I've got it. Finished forks yesterday, now I'll start on boom pole.

Has anyone messed around mounting a small winch on a boom hoist?? Seems to me it would give a steadier lift than trying to hoist with the FEL joystick. Mount it in a reciever hitch and have 2 places on the boom to attach a pulley, end and middle???? Ideas?? bcs

Jerry… you have a good idea there, for a precise controlled lift, as bcs said, it is tough using joystick. I have found using curl is a little more controllable, but I like your approach. KennyV.

It is a Wallace boom pole that I got from TSC before they switched totally to King Cutter. Yes it did require a lot of weight on the front of that tractor pictured, but it was a very lightweight Yanmar. I have since used it once with the NH w/FEL and did not require the additional weight.
