FEL and Toothbar for B7500

Thanks, everyone, for your help. I had been thinking of settling for the 272, but after thinking about your advice, it seemed like I really am better off with the 302.

I'll give Issaquah Kubota a call. If I can get a better deal from them, even if they don't deliver I can put the difference toward a 2-axle trailer (and a posthole digger and a box-scraper, and, and.... ) /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I know they will deliver. They even go to Eastern Washington. Mark's a great guy and I'm sure he'll take good care of you. Have fun shopping.

The dealer that installed my loader told me he didn't carry the 272 and didn't reccomend it because he felt it was inferior.

This is my first post here and like you, I too have been looking at the B7500. I read your post and all I can say is de ja vu. I went to the same dealer for a quote and asked similar questions. I indicated that I wanted the 302 loader and a tooth bar (based on the information and experience here). I was also surprised when they indicated that the 272 was standard and they wanted an extra $250.00 for the 302. It seemed like they were just trying to find a way to tack on some extra. I was also surprised that they did not know what a removeable tooth bar was. They said that they could bolt on some backhoe teeth? I also felt that their quote was high. I will also give Issaquah a call for a quote.

When you received your tooth bar, did it come by UPS ? Just thought it might excede weight limit.

I ordered through Carver and UPS delivered it right quick, if I recall correctly. The absolute best thing I did to improve my B7500 was to mount the toothbar.

Thanks, everyone. Mark at Issaquah Kubota has, indeed, taken good care of me. I've ordered the B7500 with the LA302 FEL. He'll reinforce the bucket and add hooks for me. He included free delivery and pickup for all warranty work throughout the life of the warranty (which gives you a pretty good idea of how confident they are in their product since I live 40 miles away).

He added a toothbar with a reasonable markup which was worth it to me. He also is having the rear R4s filled with Calcium Chloride. Alternative fills were not available through their supplier, and doing it myself looked a little daunting. Ultimately I decided I'd rather spend $500-$600 in 10 years on new tires and rims than give up the safety and performance benefits of the filled tires.

Chim, I don't know what Keller Brothers are, so I guess I'm not a customer. Yet.

Mark has offered to deliver my B7500 this Saturday, but my wife wants to go camping, so I gotta delay the delivery. But she's been very supportive of this purchase (she told me I *had* to get the toothbar!), so it's the least I can do. (And never let it be said I didn't do the least I could do.) /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Now I gotta start looking around for a (used, if possible) box scraper and 6" post hole digger.

I'm glad it worked out well for you. Mark's a good guy. One question though...... CAMPING..... instead of tractor delivery.????? I like to camp, but....... You must be a very patient man.
