Hey all,
I got a subscription request from Farm Show magazine and was wondering what you people who get it, or have gotten it, thought of it. Is it worth it??

It is half price with a free, 'Best of Farm Show' book which is a collection of the best idea articles that the magazine has published in previous issues.

What do you think?
Thanks

Subscribed for a year, was worth maybe two months of the fee at most. I was truthfully disappointed, it did have many novel ideas but almost none of them were of any use to me.

I subscribed for about 5 years but quit when I started seeing many of the same ideas done over and over again

Farm Show is great if you like DIY stuff. Over a couple of years you'll start to see less new ideas with each issue. To be fair TBN's like that too. Pick any subject from today's posts & do a search, bet it's been discussed many times before. I like both regardless.
Farm show books are all just reprints of magazine articles. Before I bought a book I'd get the cd of past issues. The free books i've got for renewing my subscriptions are a once thru read at best. MikeD74T

I've received the mag for approx 30 yrs. For 25 yrs it was the greatest magazine that showed up in the mailbox, in fact life stopped while it was read through. I think that it has become a poor shadow of itself because farming has become a huge industry wherein if you're in it you don't have time to be trying to invent something that fills a niche job as much as back in the 80's and 90's. Maybe everything has been done? I agree that it has lost something in the evolution, I used to pick out half a dozen things every mag that I'd look at and think wow I gotta build one of those myself, now I may go 2 or 3 mags before I get that feeling.

I have been getting it for about 10 years. I still enjoy it. You have to have a little bit of a wharped mind to enjoy it. I have not built anything that was in the paper but, I have taken ideas from it and put my own twist to it. I will still be getting it years from now.
