Hello,
Posted this in another section before I saw this one, so I apoligise for the repost.
I'm looking for information on what to expect for wear parts/maintenance on a Fecon HD7460 Forestry head mulching attachement mounted on an ASV RC100 with the Forestry package. I am looking at renting one to clear about 40 acres of pasture on our farm that has 4-5" brush. Do I have the right set up?
My main concern is on the associated wear costs with the teeth and whatever else may come up. The rental place has replacement teeth for about $80 apiece and said theres 33 of them. Basic math says 2640 per set, but they couldn't tell me much about wear, I would imagine the operator has more to do with it than anything, but if your not a cowboy and run it like your paying for it can someone give me an idea what to reasobably expect for incidentals on something like this? I would have to think that in the grand scheme of things the ammount of work i will be doing is pretty minimal and I'm not going to go through a full set, however I'd hate to rent it and go through 2 sets. Any info is appreciated
Thanks
