Fecon FTX140 hydrauliccooling fan motor

The hydraulic cooling fan motor on my FTX 140 has been weeping and now it's leaking oil. It's a small two bolt flange mount hydraulic motor made by Haldex. Has anybody had this problem? And has anybody retrofit another motor? I was told they are hard to get parts to rebuild them and a new one is 800 or $900. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this.

Check with Lynn Hendrix, I think there is a seal replacement kit for those motors.

They gave me the price on the motor they didn't mention a seal kit but I'll call back and ask. Thanks

Good luck. I have the 148 which is a similar set up, but I believe they use a different fan motor. Mine is like yours, starting to weep and they told me that there is a seal kit. The motor from the 148 might work on the 140. I'm only guessing, one of the guys at Hendrix should know.

These hydraulic motors are also used by Cat on a vibrating roller cooling fan so there are plenty of parts . Just had mine fixed, new seal and bearings and the shaft cleaned up, about $750 for parts and labour. You blokes should only pay about half that price for your parts
