FD620 engine

Not sure if this is the write place to post this, but I am looking for a engine for a JD 445. I had the old plastic cam gear go out, and figured I'd pull the cam and replace with the new upgraded steel one. Pulled the engine out and DANG it...this engine self destructed. HOLE in the block, the piston arms broke off, etc etc.

SO..needless to say, I am looking to see if anyone know where I might pick one of these up used cheaper, than the Ebay "remanufactured" ones that are still over $1000.

I'd even entertain the idea of a direct swap with another engine that would fit the space.

Hoping some of you guys may know where I might be able to locate a used one or cheaper alternative.

Can probably find a front mount mower on public surplus for $500 with a good 3tna72 (or bigger and go custom) and make it a 455. It's also a komatsu 3d72.
