I used to own a 0.2 acre lot holding a house, carriage barn, and driveway. When I was in the process of selling it, I got rid of the walk-behind mower, and then realized it needed one more mowing before settlement. I ended up hauling my 60" zero turn from home over there, and mowing the back yard just over one pass down and back. Front yard was done in literally one pass.

Got some funny looks from the neighbors, but it was the quickest way to get the job done.

I hear he doesn't stripe very well!

GC gets the chicks too, I'm fighting off these women I tell ya. They come runnin just as fast as they can, coz every girl crazy bout a GC man.

I get it too, kept feeding the chicks thier feed while driving by on the tractor. Man would they run up and get close, the crazy girls are back to laying one egg a day now.

The only dealer near me is a JD and if I would have
purchased all the equipment & tractor from JD I would
probably be paying for another 10 years as in 2 or 3
months my Tractor will be paid for. And plus the fenders
hood and floor are metal not plastic!

Had time to kill 2 weeks ago while waiting on a truck repair and drove a loaner around just asking prices. No haggling just asking. Not sure if these were 2022 or 2023, no accessories:

- Kubota BX23S - $24,500 @ 0% for 60 months; $450 cash discount
- MF GC1723EB - $23,000 @ 0% for 60 months; $500 cash discount
- NH Workmaster 25S - $23,500 @ 0 for 36 months; $1500 cash discount
- Mahindra Emax 20S - $21,341 @ 1.49% @ 60 months; $800 cash discount

What's shocking about those numbers is that those are subcompact tractors. 2 years ago those were the prices on compact tractors.

Ouch. They need to throw a lot more money on the hood to move those.

LOL - I checked out one - the Kubota BX25 - very carefully at a Fall fair. Sat on it and everything. Then bought it on the spot. I guess I was just lucky, because it has been perfect for me.

Yes some colors are nicer but Color really doesn’t matter much to me.

Having operated the SCUD tractors, they do have a place for many; but I for one would not spend the latest asking price for one. If I lived in the city I would rent as opposed to buying as the use can't be much on a city lot. Also, I see more used 23's with backhoe attachment than any other used SCUT, all for sale too. My Kubota salesman says they break easily.

Not mine! My BX25 backhoe is tough as nails. And the guy at bxpanded.com told me that the FEL tooth bar that I bought from him WAS made for “really violet“ construction like work. He was right!

Anyway, when I bought the tractor in the fall of 2008 I only had 3/4 of an acre, but since then we have bought a second property very close by that is 25 acres. But I did not upgrade my tractor. It has served me just fine.

In November of 2013 I bought my B2620 with loader, 60 inch mm mower, clamp on forks, quick hitch, rear snow blower with hydraulic chute, a Land Price 60"box blade and a Land Pride hydraulic angle blade all new from dealer for $25,000 Canadian with our 13%tax. LOL

Those days are long gone.
