FAULTY AND JERKING BUCKET LIFT

Hi, i have a massey ferguson 50A back hoe model MF50 A 837270 hyd stopped working i have replaced front hyd pump(new one) oil level is correct hyd oil is correct no leaks have cracked hose to bleed and extended rams fully in and out also disconnected rear digger only using front bucket,bucket will lift but only 6 inches in jerking action and the hyd really growl when used (did also check the crank pump drive and pulley,was ok) Thanks TED

Sounds like a problem on the suction side. ... A clogged pickup screen, filter in the suction line, "tight" leak at a joint letting air in, etc.

You could have an internal crack in the control valve in the spool valve walls or an internal leak between spools somewhere. Or did you have to remove any lines to the control valve? Could have gotten them swapped.

Hi thank you for the help from Spyderlk and Mark ,i had removed the filter and still didnt work ,after your advise checked tank side and had very little flow i didnt know of the micro filter in the centre of the hyd oil filter ,(it was totally clogged) now works like new so thanks again for your help kind regards Ted
