Tractor
3550 Fard Backhoe and a 1948 Farmall Cub,
I thought yall might like to see a pic of my dads Pasquali 986. He got this tractor from a friend of ours that imports tractors. It was new and had been lost in his warehouse till it fell in on it. Its articulated and has several gears. The pto can be synced to run a powere trailer. The lift valve was rusted shut I fixed that but the lift arms have alot of stiffnessfrom being new and then locking up. Im working on that now. Dad had 2 tractors in this parade for Heritage Day. His 72 yellow Cub was in it. My wife tried taking pics but she was holdmy dog Lily on a leash who was trying to eat a park squirrel when dad who went past first a rather large couple eclipsed the Cub. Whe just had a shive pain job on the Pasquali he bought the litter mate to it a few weekes earlier a 991 Pasquali with power steering and is getting a clutch for it. Amy got my pic and then her camera went dead. Laterthat day I got my papers to be a member of the club.

Pretty cool tractor. Something like that should never get dirty. Just make it original and show it of from time to time.

Are there any unique implements for it that you could tow behind it just for show?

Its got a neat little story involved wit hthe tractor for sure. A man that runs the compactor for me told me of his little Pasquali he had and he had bought it from this dealer. Dad was talking to the dealer and had found out they found this one in the old ware house. Pops bought it. It will go from .37 mph to 15.22 Hes used it alot but a 5 foot disk behind it and no power steering on it wants to wag it around. These were made for logging and vineyard and orchard work. The 30 of these importd to this man went to pulp wooders, chicken houses, and a tree service or to. Our friend and his sone in loaw bought the 991 and the 986. Im on the 986 the 991 dad has ordered a new clutch pack and a front end loader its power steering equiped.
They have a avalable a powered trailer rated at 5 tons, tillers, spaders, inrow cultivators and such for vineyard work. Pasquali is still making tractors though mostly bi directional. My wife was aggravated at the couple walking in front of her when she tried to take the few pics of dad on his Cub an the other drivers. Also in the parade was a TuffBilt tractor that looks like a G. Dad says he wants to sell the 986 later but Im thinking he may keep it being its history. He just gardens a bit and mostly tinkers with it.
The title was some thing my brother came up with when I first got on the little tractor From Chris Farley in Tommy boy Fat guy in a little coat lol. Ill hope to take a few more pics of the 2 tractors side beside today or tomorrow.

Do you know the year of the tractor? I saw them in the 80's and they are interesting machines, put me down as wanting one too. Definitely we need more pictures.

Our dealer friend bought around 20 of these from another importer that was going out of business. They had several sizes and options. It was in the mid eighties when he got these. At the time pulp wooding was big and a few went to the woods where it was hilly. most were sold out of state to other dealers in orchard country or for poultry barn use. We had seen this one when it was pulled out of the old building they had sold them all but this one and it got put in a ple of tractor parts. They got it out last fall and got it running the lift lever was frozen and the lift arm balls on the tractor side are super stiff. not having wear then allowing to set up is tough un sticking. It was basically a new tractor. The man that runs the compactor for me at work was telling us about them his Son in law had bought a 986 like in the picture and He had bought the 991 its tires are smaller but its a bigger tractor with power steering. His neighbor bought it from him later and kept it till spring. Charlie told dad about it and dad bought it. Then he got the bug and bought the other one at the dealers yard. Dad found a loadr to go on the 991. I hope to take a few pictures of it tomorrow and of both of together. The 991 is green and orange but will get the orange and white paint job. The orange and eggshell was the mid eighties color. One site that has a lot of them is
