I am taking a laptop also. I plan to take some very detailed notes! Everyone drive/fly safe and see you there!
Dear Sess,
I'm glad you are going. I'm sorry I can't do my part. I hope you'll share everything that they make public with us unfortunates. I'm just afraid the results will be disappointing. I hope I'm wrong. I know you, Case, Tommy, Taxpayer and Tim are really good people and will represent us well. If you see any real good bargains in the Longtrac parts that you don't want I hope you'll think of me.
Thanks again for representing us.

Longtrman-We will do our best and all hope for the best. Everyone just send us their positive thoughts. We will report back ASAP as we know something, you can count on it! :)

Just wanted to say Thanks to all the dealers who can make it to the meeting! Keep us posted of the happenings if you can. I really wish I could make it down but I really can't afford to take off right now. Thanks to SESS for all your help and info lately, you have been a great friend through this. Hopefully we all will make it out of this mess with the ability to continue to do business. Maybe we will be able to gain some new customers in the end. Anyway good luck with the meeting and may we all be able to smile a little when it all over?

SESS, I PUT YOUR QUESTION AND MY ANSWER SOMEWHERE IN HERE.TO NO LUCK ON FINDIG IT. HERES MY ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTION/
MY AGENDA= 1- WHEN DID TELMARK KNOW ANY OF THIS? 2-WHERE ARE ALL OF THE OLD HEAD MONKEYS? 3- LESS THAN ZERO MONEY, WHERE IS IT? IS THIS A CRIMANAL OFFENSE ? COULD PROBABLY GO ON THROUGH 100 QUESTIONS, MOST LIKELY ONLY ANSWER IS WE ARE LOW MAN ON POLE. TELMARK IS A DIDDERENT STORY, F/T WITH TELMARKS KNOWLEDGE AND OR CONSENT DUMPED A LOT OF IRON ON US. Without sounding like I just fell off the turnip truck, but who is Telemark??????? Is that part of Textron?

/ FarmTrac Troubles #728
He means Textron.

I have a date that should hold up. I will share that at the meeting with everyone present.

Tim

Thanks Tim. I thought I had totally missed something important! See ya in Tarboro!

/ FarmTrac Troubles #730
I know most everybody has left for Tarboro by now but when you get back we need to set up a scheme (assuming the warranty and credit work out) to find each other and know what each dealer has on hand. We can then help each other to move tractor inventory better. Tim is the one closest to me and that isn't really just next door. I'm lucky in one regard--I only have 1 555DTC & loader, 1 555 & loader and 1 545 on hand so if I get the chance- if Textron will make a provision for this- I may be able to help move some LS or big Escorts. This all requires a great amount of luck!

Good idea Longtrman! We have 6-270 (no loaders), 1-3140dtc/FEL, 1-545dtc/fel and 1-545/fel. We also have a 5040M and 5240 FEL. ALL of which came due months ago!! :D

Sess,
In your case we need somebody in the southeast to help. It would add considerable to truck to the Ozarks! Unless you were going to Branson on vacation at the time of sale! I hope everyone else will join in with us.

Sess,

I wonder if Textron would host a site for us to keep log of inventory. They of course know what we have that is the most problematic. They would I'm sure want some authorization from each dealer before posting but they could have it all in one place. I did make a hard copy of your inventory. I hope Tim likes thie idea he is probably my closest dealer neighbor. Thanks

Well we are here in Tarboro. Met some really great dealers and friends now! 2 hours until the meeting. Went to see Farmtrac today where the auction will be held tomorrow. Ladies and gents-my definition of "obsolete" and the people holding the auction are very different. I saw MANY,MANY,MANY pallets of items that are very current stock for of us dealers. To me those items should have been offered to the dealers to buy and then anything left over could be sold, but that is just my opinion. If you were ever a dealer that had sent a "bad" motor back to Farmtrac-it is going to be sold tomorrow. There are a BUNCH of motors being sold. Some are obviously used, and some appear brand new (cause they ain't no sign that oil has ever been in it!!) Very curious to see what kinds of prices are going to come tomorrow at the auction.
Until later tonight after the meeting.....

Today wss a long day at the auction and seems that the sale went well. We had a really late night at the meeting, but I walked away with a better understanding what is going on. The trip has been worth it I have to say. Alot of questions were answered. I took detailed notes and will be getting those typed up when I get home and then forward to all dealers. DEALERS: Please send me a PM so that I can make sure your on the dealer list. Please include your phone and fax numbers, email address and of course your name! The best part of this trip has been the people we met. A fine, FINE group of people. Some great friendships have been made...from a terrible situation.
