FarmTrac Troubles

/ FarmTrac Troubles #421
I am not sure about the time frame or exact origination of LewPak but after several lengthy conversations I believe Bobby Pack. I will state this so as not to get in as much trouble as I usally do. Could it be that LewPak was started with the intent to liquidate the Textron secured tractors without the receivers knowing? Could Bobby Pack have invested a great deal of his own time and money to set this up on Textrons say so to get the tractors? Could Bobby Pack have been led to believe he could sell these tractors then to find out different? I think LewPak may have been dupped into this with us to some extent. I believe he is not only as in the dark as we are, but wants to work with the dealers to move their inventory. Watch for an email soon on this! Short of a buyer for Farmtrac I think he may offer a solution. There is already overseas interest in the inventory.

A search on the GA Secretary of State web site shows a Richard Lewis as Registered Agent of Lewis Contracting and Home Repair, 6940 Buckingham Circle, Cumming, GA, the same address listed as the corporate address of Lewpack Intl. License is listed as "Active/Noncompliance". The name Richard Lewis is also listed with as Registered Agent of a few other companies which have been dissolved.

.....which I found to be a private residence-not a "real" business.

Well, it gets deeper.

Very good work by all of you. I can tell you the depth of the website listing on the search engines tells me someone did a lot of work and knew how to do it.

I think he should have used a PO BOX.

As you noted, that same address appears in the Contact Info for his LewPack Intl listing on Alibaba . And as dgl noted, Mapquest shows that is in a nice subdivision behind a golf course.

Ok, back to the chase. Does it look like there might be separate, competing groups of creditors struggling to get control over the Farmtrac assets? I thought appointing a Receiver took care of all that.

Why does a nameless letter to the dealers state them as "Specifically, a Turkish inventory disposition firm, LewPackInternational"

I think that is a mis print and I have not seen anywhere it has said Turkish. Please let me know what article you are refering to.

An interresting thing about the Lewpac site is that all of the motorcycles they were listing are gone too! The only assoc. to that and FT is the fact both were held by Textron. I wonder why the motorcycles disappeared too??

The letter is from the Dealers Assoc. attorney. If you have not gotten it yet contact your regional association. Some very good reading.

Sorry if this doesn't connect well to previous posts. Does any one have a way to check on tractors that were / are in the T.M. salesman accounts? Especially those that separated form Long or FARMTRAC a few years back.

I am pleased with Farmtrac, I got my motor. I went and picked it up myself, I wanted to see this mess first hand. They have parts people in the warehouse shipping out parts buy the pallet load to orders placed thought the company store. They went out of there way for me. They treated me well. Every one was as nice as they could be. Helped me take off the parts I would need off the core I took them and loaded me a new motor that was still crated. From what I was told by help ( employees that are not in the management Field ) They where waiting on paper work to get straitened out. From what I could tell all was left in a mess, by the other management that had left. To India (LOL) Hear is some video and pics of what was seen. If you have any more questions please PM me. I seen allot of folks working. When I was there they where bringing in stacks of shipping boxes to start sending out parts. I feel they are doing the best they can do with what was left to them. I think it will get worked out soon. The employees I met where in good spirits and looking forward to getting going again soon. We will see. But there is allot of parts available. The company store is in charge of the parts from what I could tell. All orders where coming from them and being billed through them also.

Video is not the best. I was not takeing it. Plus I didnt know if they wanted some one to take it, so it is so so. It is nothing that could not be seen from the street. Just thought you all would like to see what is there as of the 31st

UnCut Video - Now Playing "Mar 31 2008 - VID00009"

and the pics of the parts department. On the main site. All the buildings are full from front to back.

I think they are doing what they can with what they have to work with. I am not sure why they had the change of heart about giveing me a new motor, but what ever it was it worked. Sushil went out of his way to help me when I was there. I think Tim at 3-R was a big help also. I want to thank you Sir, for all you have done on your end.

SESS, The employees seem to think all will be well. But did you ever get that feeling when every one was just to nice. It may of just been that I was a customer and not a dealer. Either way I think something is going to happen soon. All I can say is that they were busy folks. I seen about 10 or so folks working. Seen allot of parts being shipped out. Even some new stuff that came in. We will see. I told Sushil that people still love the little blue tractor and they need to talk to there dealers. The only thing is this big old paper shredder and a box about 4 x 4 x 4 full of shredded documents. That is the only thing that bothered me. But other then that all looked well

Well maybe they are going to start shipping parts in shredded paper (old invoices, bills, etc) instead of the dang stryroform peanuts they use!
