After all how could a farm mag sponsored by the Evil Empire run an article exposing the multinational parasite for its ill actions toward Farmtrac retailers?
Nah... not hardly.

All this is nice, but are we any nearer a resolution as to what is going to happen to all those blue tractors, many of which just sat through another 20 inches of rain?
I just spent several hours reading over all the 1263 posts regarding Farmtrac troubles. What a ride these last 7 months that the employees, dealers and customers have been on! Flippin shame this whole thing has been!![]()
Did you notice, perhaps, that the person who started this thread was a JD dealer and that the Farmtrac dealers knew nothing of this until after his post? That is the real sad part. Everybody knew before us.
Self punishment I guess is what you call it by re-reading this whole thread, but I was looking for a key or a piece of a puzzle to try and understand what is happening! I guess you can tell what kind of day I had when I re-read 1263 posts and was never interrupted during the whole time. Sale??? Like SELL something to MAKE money. Don't know what that is these days!!!!
But we do have a job in right now for warranty work. And of course that is UNPAID warranty work for a customer that lost his warranty on the tractor he bought 11/27/07 right before Farmtrac closed. Probably cost us a grand or so out of our pocket-BUT the customer will be happy!![]()
That is the important thing these days-make your loyal customers happy. Not their fault so why punish them. We did fill out a FTC complaint when he came in!!!!!!!!!!!![]()
but it is not the employees, dealers or customers fault. Escort, LS Cable and SAME need to step up to the plate and honor their product -- plain and simple!
RNF -- You mean I get no hugs from the Evil Empire Finance Corp? Didn't plan on it!no 2% for you!!
Even though the Farmtrac tractors may scare the customer they can help to keep the dealer going by purchasing parts and accessories from the dealer who is dedicated enough to sacrifice for the customer. Most Farmtrac dealers sell after market parts and accessories. Most major line tractor dealers also sell after market parts also but some of them charge major line prices for the after market part. I bought a part last week from a major line dealer in order to see what the part looked like from the major line. When the part arrived it was an after market part with a price (not including freight) of $8.39 after my dealer discount. The trouble is I sell the aftermarket part for $4.77. You can support the Farmtrac dealers who are trying to keep their Farmtrac tractor customers going by buying aftermarkrt parts and probably save money to boot. I won't guess whether it's fraud or not to sell aftermarket parts as major line parts-- we'll leave that to investigative reporters.Kal:
Your pro-customer position is one of high integrity. There are still consumers who value that virtue. Hope every one of them finds your store and spends money copious bucks there.
Without being a dark cloud, it seems honor is a vaporous core value in today's business. University classes include "business ethics" in their curriculums. What a towering oxymoron; nice in theory, devoid in practicum.
To expect FNA, Escorts and TFCs exec to about-face into legitimate, righteous business persons after the previous multiple bludgeonings they've inflicted... Well... what's the likelihood of it? What's the motivation for change?
