The bolts in my injector pump became lose without me knowing. The pump separated some from the block while I was running it. It began to smoke and shut down. I tightened the bolts back up but now it will not start. I’m assuming I’m going to have to retime it???? Any advice would appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What kind of pump do u have.?? In-line or rotary.??
If it’s a rotary, you’ll b lucky if that’s all you have to do..
They have a bad habit of seizing if not supported..
Let me know which type u have and I’ll try to help.,

An inline pump has the steel lines coming off the pump going to the injectors in a straight line..
On a rotary pump, the lines come off the back of the pump in a circle..
On a rotary pump, the lines come off the back of the pump in a circle..
Sorry for the delayed and short responses. I have been out of town with little signal. I was able to get home before it got to dark and get a picture of it. I attached it here. You can see in the picture where one of the mounting bolts is missing. The other one was backed out some and the pump had separated from the housing just a bit.
