Did you get it straightened out?

Works been killing me so sorry for the slow response....
Ended up putting in a new plug, doing the muffler mod, tuning the carb, and a new air filter - Now it's running great!!!! Real pleased with it. It does look like the sprocket is getting pretty worn so that may need replaced next......
Thank you all for the help

I've got a Tiny Tach too. Haven't got around to using it yet.
When you change out the sprocket get two new lengths of chain to use with it and a new bar too. Rotate the chains from one to 2nd and flip bar over each time you change out the chain.
And change out your fuel lines on the saw now with good quality lines to complete your tune-up. The fuel lines often crack, become brittle or stop fitting the fittings fuel flows through and produce less than satisfactory performance.
You're on your way to a near complete refurbishing of the essential items to keep that saw running smooth for a long time.

Will do. Can I still use my old chains? I think I have 4 or maybe even 5.

Old chains and bar= use on old sprocket. New chains and bar on new sprocket so they all wear in together, and evenly. Clean out bar groove each time you flip the bar and swap out to a sharp chain.

You shouldn't let that happen .Do like I do,,, Delegate the work to someone else..:D Glad you got the problem solved with the saw

So does it seem to have more power with the muffler mod?

Look at the chains and see it the drive links are beat up. If they look good they should be fine to run on a new sprocket. It is a good idea to do what Coyote Machine is saying about flipping the bar and swapping chains.

It sure seems to have a bit more power, and spins up a hair quicker. Think I may grab a new set of bar, sprocket and chains! Thx
