Farmall H transmission Question

My Farmall H will only go into reverse or neutral. And reverse is down to the left and used to be up and to the left. It is where 1st used to be. Does anyone have any insight? I just got it back from the JD dealer from changing all the fluids. They told me there was some sludge in the gear lube, so they ran diesel fuel through it to clean it out.

If this were a ford, I'd tell ya to pull the tranny cover to see if some shift forks slipped on rails...

we don't know enough back story to make that determination.

Why was a red tractor at a green dealer to drain oil and refill? sounds like more to this story..
