Farm Pro oil pressure 0

65 hours on a Farm Pro 25hp. Runs good started tractor oil gauge reads 0. No smoke or unusual noise. Is it possible it痴 the gauge and is the pressure sensor in the picture below? Loose wire was taped to the loom. Gauge was working fine for the 10 hours I have put on the tractor.

I wouldn't run any equipment with zero indicated oil pressure. Try to track down a manual to see what goes where. That may indeed be all that's wrong - probably is - but I wouldn't take the chance myself.

Do you have a gauge and a warning light? Most likely only the gauge and the extra wire is for the warning light. From the photo it appears you have a sender unit for the gauge but no switch for a warning light.

I would get a manual gauge installed in the block and make sure of the oil pressure or lack thereof. Then proceed with troubleshooting the existing gauge if needed.

Odds are the hole in the block is tapped SAE (it is on my Jinma 284) and you could install a tee for the sending unit and a manual gauge at the same time.

Do you have a wiring schematic for your tractor? It will be most helpful in troubleshooting the problem.

Change it over to a quality mechanical Gauge. The block fitting is SAE and I believe the dash hole accepts a 2" gauge. Struggled with the uncertain Chinese electric one for way too long until it finally died. Now I KNOW that the pressure doesn't get low when hot, doesn't take too long at start up and doesn't flutter. Love the tractor, just wish I had the time to finish a complete re-wire job, because their electrical stuff is terrible.

Thanks for all the help. I put in a temporary mechanical gauge from the parts store and the pressure came right up. Just have to route the line and mount the gauge.
