I've got a reatively new tractor (72 Hrs.). Changed oil and put on new water hoses. Brushed hogged for a couple of hrs, noticed engine starting to overheat. Parked tractor so I could work on it next day and hit almost 3 weeks of bad weather. Tried to start today with no luck. Checked fuel lines, air breather and everything else I could think of. Does anybody have any suggestions?

What is the tepmerature in your area? Are you letting the glow plugs heat for 30-45 seconds before you try to start it? I have the same tractor with almost the same hours on it and I have discovered that it is not interested in starting when the temp gets below 40 degrees without pre heating the glow plugs.

Did you check your fuel level? My gage doesn't work on mine it always says I have fuel in the tank even when I don't.

O.K. I moved it to the Chinese tractor forums and left a redirect from the original location for 30 days. ;)

Will the tractor crank? If so make sure the knob you pull to shut it down is actually in and moving the lever on the injector pump. Check the simple stuff like fuel, ect.

As for the overheating check the radiator for chaff. Blow the rad out from the back side. There is a screen on the front side of my rad that is removable. Make sure you remove it before cleaning.

I've got close to 600hrs on mine and never had trouble starting except for a faulty starter. Is the engine cranking? Is the fuel shut off pushed back into the run position? Did you try the glow plug{start at 10seconds don't go over 20 if possible}? What outside temp are you at? Is your fuel good? How are the filters and there is also a small clear sediment bowl under the tank?
