I have a farm pro 2420 4 wd that I bought . From day one I have had problems with the starter breaks and hydolic leaks. My dealer can't seem to repair it or get parts. I have called the distributor without success.

I live in Michigan. Does anybody know where I can get parts and service for this machie?

Has anybody experienced similar problems and found a remedy?

Anybody want to buy this machine from me?

I'm guessing that you bought it used, or you'd know that parts are available through FarmPro Parts - Homier Distributing Company, Inc. - not to mention most of the Jinma and Foton dealers that are members of this forum.

Describe your hydraulic leak. Many are caused simply by insufficient torque on a banjo or compression fitting. Starting issues are also not unusual. But we need more info to narrow things down

Actualy the tractor was bought new from a dealer. Dealer says he can't get parts blames Homier. I called Homier and they blame the dealer. I've been trying to resolve this for over a year.

If I can find another place to service this perhaps I can resolve the matter.

Ok, that suggests that your actual problem is with getting somebody to honor the parts and/or labor warranty - than it is about how to actually go about getting parts. If true, I'm not quite sure what kind of help you are hoping to get here.

If it's off-warranty, do you have some reason not to buy parts directly from Homier? Or from a Jinma dealer? Or maybe you don't realize that the small FarmPros are actually rebadged Jinmas, and that parts for them can be obtained from virtually ANY Jinma dealer.

These tractor are very easy to repair,we have one of the largest Jinma parts supplies in the USA,we even sell some to FarmPro ,your not close to us to repair it but there is plenty of knowledge on this board and plenty of parts. Most of the hydraulic leaks are no more than a rubber coated washer that's lose or needs to be replaced, and the starter problems are mostly a bad ground.Give us a little more detail on the problems and we should be able to get you up and going. You can look up our webpage Home of compact Jinma, Foton, and Koyker Tractors and Parts, Wood Chippers, Backhoes - Affordable Tractor Sales Company you can shop online or give us a call we will be glad to help.Once you get the bugs out they are great little tractors

Sorry to hear that you are having problems with your tractor. One thing that helps is to find exactly what is the problem with your tractor. If it won't start work on that problem first. Then deal with the others in the order that you need them to work. It is also a good idea to remember that all tractors are basically the same. So if you have a simple question that is general to all tractor then you can talk to any dealer or shop. They love to talk and doing so can find the chance for a sale in the future. This can also help you with your dealer. Trying to get someone that won't help is much easier when they know that you are learning as your going and your not going away. It is also a good idea to find other ways to get done what you need your tractor for. If they know you need them sometimes they don't want to work. It's like poker, cool is the way.

Hi Lee,
Welcome to the forum. Looks like you will be a great addition to the Chinese tractor guys with your knowledge. I like the way you look at stuff. I saw you thread about all that backhoe digging you did too ... very cool!

I have noticed that many of the problems that I had with my Farmpro were from my own doing. But I always learn a lot. And I usually write my post and get some really good ideas. I learned to tractor on a 53 MF like learning to shoot with a 44. I really like my new tractor and the cost. I did not buy a 25,000 JD. I have the money to do other things. And I really like all the mechanical advice on here. Some times I write and drink :D and get a message back. But really when you type something and say I have a problem.... It's like taking your car to the mechanic they do talk about the stupid things they see. Same thing here. I'm not a mechanic but from working on my tractor and asking questions here I have learned a lot. In fact I have taken that to working on other things in the house and ranch. I can tell when something or someone might be trying to make a buck on me. So thank you everyone. Remember that when someone does write a angry message they just want their tractor to work so they can do their task. As my wife says the internet is the first place that men have been able to say "help". She also says that when men write angry those are feelings and we will understand how to deal with those in a few years or so.

That sound like the stright story. The information we have here saves a lot of nerves. Its nice to know where people have been treated well and where not. I received an enormous amount of help here it made working the bugs out fun. If we have a mechanical problem and someone has already been there or vice versa thats great. I would sign on just to see what new thing Rob was up to. I bought my tractor used and rebuilt the starter ect, if I purchased it new I would have wanted certain things in good working order from go and would have mentioned it here if I couldn't get satisfaction from the dealer.
