fact or fiction?

A friend gave this to me today. I was told that the picture was taken in Marion, in Western North Carolina. Just curious if anyone has seen this pic floating around before? Not claiming it's true, but was informed it came from a relative of one of the guys in the shop my friend works at.

A friend sent me a picture that looks a lot like that one. Said it was taken in Southern Missouri.....hmmmmm?

I don't think that it's hard to believe that a mountain lion killed and carried off a deer.. just that it's getting hard to believe any picture of anything interesting is real without wondering if it hasn't been doctored, or fabricated.
Great picture by the way.(if it's real....haha, just kidding ... sorta)

Nope, not hard to believe. Just like the cheetahs in africa, a cat can certinally take down a deer.

Cool vid teg, surprised the greenies arent wanting to put a end to those cruel, barbaric mountain lions.

I thought the picture was real, but what I wasn't sure of was if there were mountain lions in Western North Carolina.

If I were a betting man, my money would be on the fact that there are no "native" mountain lions in Western NC today.

I didn't doubt the authenticity of the picture so much as the location they said it was shot in. I was told it was taken in Ohio.

That pic has been everywhere ! I received it and the guy told me it was here in Minnesota ..... kinda like a kid loose in a hot air balloon......

I'm confused about why its so difficult to believe the pic is real.

I guess I'm a little late to the thread but like others have said it's not hard to believe the event just the validity of the pic. Last winter I was drawn for an Elk hunt in the Wichita Mts in Oklahoma. A fellow that I helped to pack his elk out had left part of it in the moutains overnight. The next morning the 3 quarters and remaining carcass were moved further down hill (thankfully) and covered with grass. Definate signs of a large cat.

Very informative video, BTW. Around my area they tend to be darker in color and when I've seen them it's always when I'm driving and in about two bounds they are across the road and gone! Only has happened twice.
