I've had a few 5th wheel/gooseneck trucks, all used...

I am looking at purchasing another F350, but the one I've found doesn't have a ball in the bed. Just need it for farm purposes, towing. Dump trailer, tractor, equipment on flatbed, etc.

2006 F350 Crew/diesel

What is a reasonable cost to have one installed? This will help determine whether this is the truck for me. Nothing fancy, but I do want to be able to flip the ball over so its flush, or something similar.

The last B&W turnover ball install was last year on my 2024 3500HD. Cost was $1,000. I went with it over the GM Curt factory ball. You can get a 5th wheel adapter for it as well, although I have never had the need for one.

Heck, i had a nice tow control and reversing ball installed on my f350 on 2010 for $350

Prices sure went nuts.

Yeah the aftermarket gooseneck ball and tie down kit for trucks with factory in bed hitch is $350 now...was $199 a few years ago. My 2011 F-350 I installed my own b&w turnover ball. Complete hitch kit with in bed wiring was around $600 in 2010 just for the parts.

I would charge you $400 to install a B&W, assuming there wasn't excessive corrosion on the bolts holding the bed on.
