F3060 serial # help

Found a 3060 with 290 hrs. Serial # is 20431. Anyone have a clue on mfg date? Or do you know where the date is on the machine so I can email the guy to look for it.

I could be wrong but I had a recollection that the machines serial number does not cross reference with a year of manufacture although you would think it would some where along the line.
However the engines serial number will give you a date which should suffice as a similar manufacture date:

My first F was a F2680e bought in 2008. The 60 series would have been built before then unless it was other than USA which sometimes uses different model numbers and according to some people here have slightly different features for the same model.

Ok. The machine I found only has 290 hrs on it. The guy selling it does govt surplus sells so he doesn't know anything about it.

With under 300 hours does the manuf date really matter to you? If the price and condition is right you may want to move sooner than later or you'll be hearing the "Done sold" story.

Well JT I screwed around and it got away. Between being busy and my memory and can't remember anything.

I know it's too late now, but F3060 was introduced 1996

Mine has over 3500 hours on it and serial No. is 10,400 +

These are hard to find used (at least here on the West Coast), so next time ...

From Somerset, Ky to Myrtle Beach and staying off interstates as much as possible. Kings Mt last night to Monroe and thought about you. Course from Monroe all over southern NC to reach fimal destination.
