Yes, I work for Sloan Implement and I work on lawn mowers. I would check out to make sure that your front of the deck is 1/8" lower than the rear, that your wheels are 1/4" off the ground, and that your blades are level side to side. There is no reason why this should be happening otherwise. If you still cannot figure out the problem, I would suggest taking it to your local John Deere dealership and they will be able to solve your problem. I hope that this helps.

I just got a Z445 with a 54 in. deck and used it once so far. I'm very pleased. I was a little apprehensive about learning to use a ZTR mower but the learning curve wasn't bad. Still need some fine tuning. However, it cut my mowing time from 3 hours to about 1 hour 45 minutes. I have 2 other JD's, a LX 288 lawn tractor and a 870 compact tractor. All good quality products. I recommend the Z445.

I've been looking at the ez445, it seems like a nice compromise between a residential and a full blown commercial for a good price. JD has just increased the warranty to 4 years as well. I was thinking a used commercial mower but with the 4 year warranty I think I found my ZTR. I have just south of 4 acres, is the 54 inch with high capacity deck the way or should I go with the ez465 with the 61 inch standard deck?
