Kawasaki engines have I believe something called an igniter. The problems you are describing sound like problems I have heard others describing with a Kawasaki engine when they were experiencing igniter problems. You may want to stop by a Kawasaki Dealer and bounce the problems being experienced off them.

Thank You chevy!! My JD EZ Trak mower had a clogged gas cap. You saved me lots of $money$. First I tried blowing it out. That worked for about 15 minutes. Then I 'banged' on it and blew it out again. Now it works perfectly. Thanks again !
