Extended Fuel Tank

How many hours does the 852 last with the standard fuel tank when mowing? Are there any extended fuel tank options?

Depends on which engine you're using and what kind of mowing you're doing.

I'm guessing you are gonna go Honda 13 hp, based on your Diesel thread. From what I could find on the internet, that engine burns 230 g/hph of .7 lb/hph and the tank is 6.1 liters or 6.4 quarts.

As far as an extended fuel tank, take a gas can with you. By the time you mow for two plus hours, you'll welcome a break for refueling.

I can't say exactly how long a tank lasts on my 852 with 13 hp honda, but I can say that I have bush hogged about 1.5 acres of very dense & high grass on one tank. Unless you are using the sulky then the limiting factor will by your legs and lungs, not the fuel tank. Even when bush hogging briars and trees ( I use the bush hog to clear out any trees less than 2" ) one tank will last me all evening. The honda really sips the gas.
