I believe that the two posts quoted above are very crass and don't reflect the true tragedy of this unfortunate event. I am not a fan of the government of North Korea, but I am a believer that the people that live under that government deserve respect from the rest of the world. They didn't choose to live there or be governed by the tyrant, but unfortunately have no choice about it. Any time a tragedy such as this happens, we should have compassion, and not make a joke about it. It is this cavalier attitude that give the US a bad name in the rest of the civilized world. You shouldn't make light of other peoples tragedies.

Amen Junkman /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif! How quickly some forget about Oklahoma City or 9-11-2001. Others live and fear just as we do. Have a heart people /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif.

I am not a fan of the North korean goverment either.(neither am I) Did I disrespect the people of North Korea ??

I made a joke about the tragedy ? Wrong again.

It is this cavalier attitude that give the US a bad name in the rest of the civilized world. You shouldn't make light of other peoples tragedies.

I started this thread out of a feeling of compassion about the North Koreans, and as I have already stated I was not making fun of the North Koreans, but of politics.

then what is the relevance of this comment????? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Where does the politics of North Korea enter into this tragedy? Are you insinuating that Halliburton caused this tragedy? /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
