Experience using 0-40 synthetic engine oil

I did put several qts. in for make up oil. It has 158k now and it burns 1 qt. in 8-10 k . I always wondered how often ya really have to change oil. Bugs me to know I'm dumping good oil I guess.

Wow, my buddy runs his Mobil to 25k in Honda accord, and I thought that was a lot. I run my Toyota mobil to 7500, might have to look at filter debris and see if it will go to 10k without harm? Jy.
