I am looking at the Exmark Quest S Series model # QTS708GEM42200. Coming from a Troy Bilt 42 Bronco that has been a nightmare, I know it is a huge upgrade. Was curious if there are any owners with any feedback? I realize most folks don't buy a 42 inch deck for a zero turn, but just curious if any Quest owners, and I guess the ultimate question...would you buy one again? How hard to service? I am really concerned about the transmission service. I am not a gear head by any stretch. I do have an LS R 3039 that I have had no issues with changing oils and filters. Exmark dealer has already said the 300 hour transmission service is about $300 and I wondered if anyone has done it themselves and how difficult is it? Is it simply a matter of changing fluid?

Hope there might be a few owners out there? At $4100 you really wanna make sure you do as much homework as possible...and I guess am just looing to see if I am making the right decision, or if there are better options in the price range?

Have a 2006 Exmark Lazer Z, never has given me any troubles, always keep regular service up to date.

Isn't the quest one of the lower end models? I don't remember their details... Does it have a real deck?

That said, I have a 60" Lazer Z, S series. Bought it used 10 years ago and nothing major ever needed with it. It's at 2200 hours this year.
