exmark lazer xs fuel shutoff solonoid not working

hello i have an exmark lazer xs that starts and immediately shuts off. fuel solonoid opens on start up but closes in run position. found solenoid very hot and smoking. installed new solenoid and smoked that one to. any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks for your time.

Solenoid went out on mine, replaced with a new one that didn't work, dealer gave me another and it worked fine.

Mine never would start and never got hot, have you checked your ground wire for a good connection or damaged positive wire

thanks for info im out of warranty and had to buy part afraid to smoke another one. power and grounds seem ok. solonoid got extemely hot.

thanks for your help i was frazzled after new motor smoked. took part back and got new one and engine stays running. thanks again.
