Newbie here..........but no newbie to the Cub Cadet.
Has anyone here attempted to re-route the exhaust on their Cadet in the 1641 series?? (1440, 1541, 1861, 1862, 1863, etc.) Whoever designed the entire exhaust system to be directly above the PTO clutch was a maniac. He also has got to have a big share in the Cub Cadet replacement parts division. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif I've owned two 1641's and have had to replace part or all of the PTO clutch in both of them. One at 227 hours!!! It ain't cheap!! I'm considering a re-route of the exhaust through the hood or sidepanels to alleviate the massive under-hood temperatures.
Has anyone here tried this successfully???
