Dreaming of a Kubota L2501 HST
Hey everybody,

I've been reading threads from this site for three years now. I figure it's time to start contributing a little bit. My family resides in northern Vermont. We have 33 wooded acres of some very interesting terrain. We acquired our property roughly four years ago and are looking to to set up some nice walking trails, a disc golf course, and a couple of nice dirt tracks for the kids throughout the course of the next decade. We are going to purchase a Kubota L2501 HST TLB, Farmi JL351P, 6ft Land Pride Snow Pusher, either a 15 or 25 series Box Blade (also LP), and forks.

I appreciate all of the knowledge contained within this site and look forward to the advice I will receive from the kind people here.

Cheers,

Seth

Might I suggest a plow instead of a pusher if you have roads to work. Pushers are great for parking lots and defined spaces, but not as good for roads. Another option some use is a rear blade. Best of luck!

Thanks guys!

The snow isn't as bad as we were planning for. Glad it's hitting us on a weekend nonetheless. We have a little Fisher Homesteader on the truck that does a pretty good job of beating everything back. I'm excited for some down pressure with the tractor; something we currently lack. I will keep that in mind with the snow pusher as we move forward. I'd like to cut cost where I can. If the bucket will do close to the same job as a pusher, I will just stick with that. We plan on getting rid of the plow on the truck, and as nice as it would be to put a plow on the tractor, it's a cost I will avoid up front. I don't want to try to modify the plow we currently have to fit the tractor. It's too light weight and I can get my money back on it if I sell it. Our driveway is only 150', so I don't need to put too much effort into it either way.

Seth- My driveway is basically the same size and I use my FEL and box blade to manage snow here. Snow depth is never a problem. Good luck with your plans.

Excellent! With a few responses on the first couple threads, I have already decided to forego the pusher and wheel spacers.
