a freind of mine would like me to put a post out, he is interested in a small excavator with a enclosed cab. He would like to know what make that is reliable and that has parts availible. anything special that he should look for when giving it the once over.

You might have better luck under construction that ag.

One thing I would stay away from is grey market machines. Some can be very hard to get parts for. A friend of mine a few years ago had one and the engine had a seal go, he could not get the parts due to it was a chinese engine and no supplier here, the company would not ship one over.

I don't remember the brand, seems like it was Kubota, but I'm not sure. I know some companies will support and some won't so inquire on parts, before you buy.

I bought a JCB and love it, try bobcat{not as strong as others from what I've been told} cat, or yanmar. Do a search for heavy equipment forum they have lots of info on mini's
