Everything is frozen and I'm going CRAZY

I was running the heater this morning about 1/3 the way. By noon I was running the air conditioner. I guess that is halfway between cold and hot, lol!

Oh, by the way... what is this "snow load" you guys are discussing?

Laugh now...watch out for those Burmese pythons though (ours are under 2' of snow and the ground is too hard to burrow).

FINALLY......got my burn pile done today. As it burned it thawed the ground, turning it into a muddy muck. Freezing rain, freezing dirizzle, snow, sleet and below normal temps have made this a tough winter to get outside chores done....beside fooling around with the snow removal.

If my wife was here, she'd also be suggesting "bored games"........

Cheers,
Mike
I have two burn piles I have been building for a year. I think I will just add to them this spring and torch them next late fall. I agree with everybody on this thread that it痴 time to move on to better weather. This has been an old fashioned winter.

Things are just normal here. Mid teens at night - upper thirties in the afternoon. Ground is still brick hard with a foot of snow.

We are now getting rain rather than snow. We should be mud within a month.

Ahhhh - I know the feeling there coobie. You need one of these to compliment that hot car. I have my BMW R1200GSA nicely tucked away. It's tires will handle mud but not snow.

Anyhow - this is my answer to the winter doldrums .............View attachment 594914

One good thing about the cold is the firewood I'm burning. I had 2 rows of wood across the back of the shed and it is almost gone. Once it is, I plan on building a 4' deep shelf that I can throw stuff on and store the blower and tiller underneath on caster wheel carts. In the middle, the mower, grapple, and bucket for the Toolcat will have their storage. At least I can work on the shelf instead of getting out in the mud....if and when the ice melts.

I had 35* with light frost!
I have potatoes up about a foot and zucchini up about 3 inches in my garden.
Luckily I had my Geothermal Heat pump on heat running sprinklers in the garden and saved them.
It only got up to 72* today, can't wait for spring. :)

Fall never left, here in Bradenton,.... and now it is Spring again.
Oh .... so boring!
