Ever seen anything like these redneck grain shuttles?

A farmer in my neighborhood has been using a strange grain shuttle in the fields to shuttle from the combine to the semi which looks to be a combine chassis with a grain wagon hopper on its back. More recently a new morphodite machine has appeared, this one is backwards from the first looking to be a combine chassis with the cab on the wrong end and being driven with steer axle front and a truck fuel tank strapped hillbilly style under the cab.

If the machine is of the homemade variety and not "Factory", then I would call it very innovative. Another example of American Ingenuity?:thumbsup:

I'm sure they are homemade from combine chassis. Even the front-steer one is obviously a combine chassis being driven backwards!

Lots of grain hopper wagons and trailers that are pulled by tractors.

The grain part of combines may wear out much faster than the running gear. The drive system may also be more compatible to keeping pace with the working combine. Hoppers should be readily available.

Those would be the hot ticket for me... I never could back those hopper trailers (or hay wagons) worth beans! :ashamed:
