A year or two ago I salvaged a tire and axle from a wheelbarrow a neighbor was throwing out. The other day I got around to taking it apart and patching the tube. The rim is a two piece thing that bolts together. The tire is 6 ply  The front tires on my tractor are only 4ply. I can't event spread the sidewalls. It took me a bit to slip the tube(which is made out of very thick rubber) back into the tire. I pumped it up and it holds air but I don't think it needs air. I am surely saving that wheel. The rim looks indestructible.
Any ever experienced a 6 ply wheelbarrow tire.
