When I worked at a gas station we measured the tanks everyday. Sometimes we had to put a paste on the end of the pole that would show the level of the water in the bottom.

In the event of a flood the owner said he would fill his tanks with water to keep them from floating out of the ground.

When I was in Tacoma, Washington there was a major ground water contamination from a leaking underground tank. The years of "sticking" the tank wore through the coating on the inside of the tank, allowing rust to form that eventually rusted through.

From superstition, I never gas up if I see the tank truck delivering. I think it is stirring up whatever water is in the tank, and I don't want that in my car.

More good news for delusional EV owners !

Dumb dumb, it's no secret if you bought any car at inflated prices during the covid scamdemic you are probably underwater.

My new Tesla Y ended up costing $40k after Fed and state tax incentive. I'm doing fine.

Not superstition! None of the guys who work at gas stations would fill up during or immediately after a fuel delivery. We could see on our meters that the water in the bottom of the tank got stirred up during a delivery, and it would take awhile for it to separate and settle back to the bottom.

Again, all pre-ethanol. I suspect the same still happens, but probably not such a clear distinction of time or separation.

Doesn,t all of the fuel pumped from the underground tanks go thru filters which are external from those tanks, and located up near the pumps ?

That seems to be correct based on my talking with drivers doing fuel dump recently.

What about those folks that recently took delivery of the $100,000 cybertruck.

Tesla is having people refuse delivery of them with the price dropped to $78,000.

Prices have been coming down over the past year or so.

Cybertrucks have been out now for what???.... 6 months or so.

I'm thinking there is more to this then what your willing to see.
