Eterra auger stopping too easily

I have a Yanmar Vio 35 excavator running an Eterra 2500 hydraulic auger motor. The placard on the motor was 2975 PSI so I set the PTO relief valve to that. This thing just stops on the slightest resistance and I am starting to think there is something wrong with this auger motor. Any ideas?

Have you confirmed the pressure at the motor when the auger stops turning? If at 2975 PSI then would feel the motor housing to see if it is getting hot vs pressure line to the motor. Motor getting hot would indicate slipping - leakage inside the motor.

If no pressure or low pressure then need to start looking for why there is no pressure. Something mechanical slipping, oil being diverted some place, etc.
