Esab, Lincoln or Miller

/ Esab, Lincoln or Miller #51
Yes, I would. I've owned both chinese and russian made tractors and worked and sold both...as well as Indian made farm tractors, Italian made farm Equipment, German made farm equipment, Polish made farm equipment, Danish made farm equipment, and even a little Japanese made farm equipment... So... I put my self through part of my college time on a Russian built farm tractor, landscaping and plowing gardens during the summer. I used several to farm with, two on a farm I managed at one time, and they held up just as well as the other units in the fleet, and would actually out-pull any other tractor we had.

You done stepped into a big pile of "doodoo" I am afraid on this forum since there are forums for nearly all these tractors and country origins and owners represented here by nearly all of them.

First, lets get something straight. You have 15 posts on here. No info about where or who you are. You could be the competition for all we know to Everlast.

Second. Everlast is based and owned out of the USA. Just as Miller, and Lincoln are. The primary owner of the company happens to have immigrated from Russia due to religious persecution when he was 15 with his family. He finished growing up here, married here, and is raising his family here, with kids born right here in the good ole' USA. So you are going to fault someone who is living the American Dream and try to denegrate that, just because he still has a trace of an accent?

Third, Miller, Lincoln and ESAB ALL make units in China. Do you call those Chinese? All the units that Miller and Lincoln make in Mexico...do you call those "Mexican"?

What is your classification for ESAB? A swedish company bought out by a US holding company, with All Chinese built product (nearly so now anyway) after discontinuing its US produced products with a varied ownership history and well known tendancy for rebadging of other brands and models of products.

I ain't stepped in nothing.
I am well aware that there are plenty of foreign tractors here. I just got done posting about one made in Japan. Ain't never had a problem with the products we import from Japan.
Who I am and my post count is meaningless, especially when my comments point out valid facts.

- Poor quality. Poor cable management. Substandard components. The photos don't lie.
- You could swing a dead cat and hit solder used to cheat current capacity. Again, the photos don't lie.
- Your customer service is sub-par and your dealer model is non-existent. I've dealt with it first hand. Lost money with your "winning" business model. We can file that one under personal opinion if it makes you feel better.
Guess what, none of the above items require me to fly to China (or Mexico) to substantiate.

A guy with 1 post or 10,000 can tell you all that.
And no, I do not work for any competitors. I'm just a guy who doesn't drink the green kool-aid and calls BS when he sees it.

Playing the race card makes me yawn and I don't care about your CEO's background.
Time for you to let it go because you will never convince me otherwise.

As shown, you pick and choose what you wanted to show. And as someone well qualified posted, Miller has had it's own issues with that.
And you are posting a 10 year old unit. I can post pictures of bad stuff we found in the latest Miller product as well. Missing clamps etc. I even have a close up of some cold soldered joints imho on that unit. But if you are bent on rehashing the past when we were in a critical rapid growth stage, go ahead. Most people are laughing at you since there are so many Everlast owners here on the thread and watched us grow.

Service sub par? Really? North American based, fully trained tech support, with full rebuild and test facilities right here in the US? Ask anyone who has ever talked with me.

But, as far as substandard parts? Now you throw in a new "wrinkle" in your argument, because you've lost on the others. Name brand, even US based manufacturers. Lets see Infineon/Siemens, Sharp, Fairchild, IXYS, International Rectifier, Texas Instruments, Sharp, Panasonic, double circle etc. I guess those are substandard.

Three things..
First you pretended you didn't have any beef. And even stated it. But with all this continuation, you obviously have an ax to grind. Dishonest statement at best.

Second, you made it about race/nationality when you said "russian". You laid that card right on top of the deck. Now you said you don't care where the CEO is from, when you obviously mentioned that with a reference to the tractors in a comparison. Another dishonest assertion.

Third, you pull a 10 year old (or possibly older depending upon manufacturing date) picture up with out of focus images from a time of transition with our product brand and identity. Post a gangly, zit filled image of you when you were in early high school(you may still be afik) and then post one when you are 40. I doubt they are going to look like or be the same person at heart. I post pictures of units not long after that with clean circuit designs from us, but you still try to throw shade... and mention substandard components, when we've used industry standard names, off the shelf quality stuff, direct from the manufacturer since 2009. That's another dishonest tactic/statement. 2206_LI.jpg2206.jpg

I'll leave these right here.

Here's a Youtube where you sent someone a unit to do a compensated review. Watch him gloss over what's really going on inside that box. Not a 10year old unit.

Haven't seen anyone laughing at me yet. Looks to me like most people agreed with me, your QC looks like a dog's breakfast. Now you are blaming your garbage work on "a critical rapid growth stage", whatever that means. If it means you used to build trash units and you've tried to do better since then? Good for you and don't stop trying to improve. In another 10 years, I probably won't need to call your baby ugly.

Yes, sub par. Being told to mail your boat anchor welder back to you on my dime is sub-par. Never had to do that with Red or Blue.
Again, never had any problems with them. I'll throw in Systematics as well.

Still no dealer or service network since my original post. I won't hold my breath ;)

I have no beef. Can't say I particularly think very highly of you, but still, no beef. Just pointing out that you can't say something untrue and make it go away.
But keep paying for forum space so you can keep arguing your detractors. Remember in the old days when you and the Longevity boys would duke it out? Remember when you got dogged off Pirate? Some things never change.

Not a country I want to do business with plain and simple. That is my prerogative. If you want to get into the minutiae of how Ukranians and Russians have readily used the (Christian) "religious persecution" excuse as a path to fast-tracked immigration into the USA during a time when US immigration policy left the door wide open, let's take it offline. Its actually a subject I love to debate with democrat / open-border / globalist types.

Oooh, personal insults about looks. Keep building your brand reputation, squirt.
10 years ago, I was even better lookin' than I am now -- but lets not let my ruggedly handsome good looks get in the way of a good old-fashioned pissing contest, shall we? ;)

The Youtube I referenced is 3yo, is that new enough or should we tear apart one of your multi-process welders right now? I'd love to do that.

See, you are late to this. This has all been discussed before. You just like kicking over an ant hill too I bet.
There's been more than one electronics guy on here, some with credentials have tried to hit us, (without comparative reference), and others with experience and knowledge have said there was nothing to be ashamed about. These units meet ETL and are subject to spot inspection and MUST past safety for them to get the certification. Back then maybe not, but since before 2013, our products have been redesigned to meet and surpass ETL testing standards.

If you read what others have posted about what I do here (in this thread and elsewhere) and how I help on this site and try to do my best to help regardless of brand, but have ignored it and willfully continue to ignore it, do so at your own credibility.

Again, many happy satisfied customers on this site.

As far as repair. Go read the Miller and Lincoln warranty. You mail it at your own expense. That is understood WHEN you buy it and has been posted in the warranty from the beginning of our first website. If you missed that, then that is your problem and not ours. We do have our 30 day satisfaction policy too which covers shipping during that time both ways. But the fact Miller and Lincoln have the same ship at your expense policy is an inconvenient truth for you to deal with...what is further inconvenient for you is that many of the rural farm guys know the score on that too. People who live so far out that their repair center is 3 hours away would rather just send it in. And after they do with other brands, well, they come to us. What's funny is that apparently you are experienced enough to have many Lincoln and Millers fail...key word "fail". Because if you've owned that much product, then good for you. But apparently you've needed a lot of service or you wouldn't honestly be able to say that. Or are you just blowing smoke?

Longevity? Lol. They sponsored here a long time ago. We've survived and thrived, and they've dived. People know exactly what is up with that here.

See, you are the latest jack rabbit to spout off your thoughts. Everytime people like you do, our sales get even better, because people are savvy and they read, dissect, research and compare. You might want to just sit and lurk a while longer before you start saying a bunch of stuff that people know better about... especially the guys who have been here for a while now.

What you don't see are the PM's that I get in support, or the requests for more information.

Before you rattle back, you might want to actually see who is really using our units. These people bought from us before they did anything else. So did Jody at WT&T

Still not up to my standards.
For the beginner hobbiest, I'm sure it's fine.
I'm sure it won't kill anyone or take someone's mom out to dinner and not call the next day. It's still not there yet. Keep trying, you'll get it someday.

Having a local dealer and repair network means you don't mail anything in. That is my point. You guys make it too much work and take too much time.
Red and Blue have lesser warranties, we get it. It has yet to be an issue for me.... except for the time I tried to run about 6oz of wire thru a certain green unit and it went snap crackle pop.

Sibling rivalries can be fierce, however at the end of the day you're both red-headed step children.

Put some of that sales money towards a better product and support network. Until then, boing boing boing....

Here's a couple nice BLUE photos of my made up rigs.

Well I guess we have now figured out that Snout and Mark are not going to be friends and having Xmas dinner together, and Snout will not be buying an Everlast welder so now maybe we can move on...... LOL

My new Esab is working great and has made welding much easier. I almost look like I know what Im doing now!

Honestly, he's still just sour grapes about the whole ugly sweater kerfluffle at last year's dinner party and this is how he is externalizing his emotions. He'll come around eventually, I'm sure.
Anyway, got any photos of cool stuff you've been working on?
