I was getting the same 008 code on mine, ended up unplugging the connector at the sensor on the fuel filter and cleaning it.

As for the cel and the regen issues thatç—´ more than likely going to be a complete different issue and you really need to have the codes pulled to see what is going on. Will your friends scanner read them or just let you clear them?

The first couple times the regen light came on was it flashing or steadily lit?

The first 3 times the light came on it was solid. I just parked the tractor and hit the regen button. I never realized that it had an auto regen when not flashing. Fifteen minutes after the last regen the light came back on flashing. That's when I drove it 1/4 mile home and pulled the two sensors and found them almost clogged solid. The light was still flashing after I cleaned the sensors. I hit the regen button and went in the house to eat. I came back out 45 minutes later and the CEL light was on. Te regen light is still flashing when I clear the CEL light as of tonight. It ten goes off when the CEL light comes back on. Looks like I will be bringing it to the dealer soon. The really sad part is that this tractor has only 420 hours on it.

I will say the manual stinks when it comes to the regen process, I know a lot of people that were unaware of the auto regen process. Also if it goes into auto and you want to stop the process before it’s complete you can by hitting the switch, say you need to quit working for the day or some other reason you can’t let it run long enough to complete a regen. However you can only cancel a regen Attempt three times , if it doesn’t complete a regen after the third try it will throw a cel.

I was a little freaked out by the auto-regen myself. Found a guide from somewhere on this forum that explained it... The tractor has to have certain conditions met in order to complete the auto-regen cycle, like have so much soot built up, engine temp within a certain range, and engine RPMs at or above a certain level, etc. I just let it run and do its thing.

The manual does stink on this issue. I will be bringing it in for warranty work once again sometime the week after next.

Well at least it’s still covered under warranty, mine will be out of all the warranty in October. Nearest dealer I have now is 2 hours one way now, my selling dealer past away and the family shut it down, it was 10 min away. Been thinking of trading it for a HST and if I do I’ll go to a different brand unfortunately. We have big ag dealers all within 20 min away with 7 different brands to choose.

Well at least it’s still covered under warranty, mine will be out of all the warranty in October. Nearest dealer I have now is 2 hours one way now, my selling dealer past away and the family shut it down, it was 10 min away. Been thinking of trading it for a HST and if I do I’ll go to a different brand unfortunately. We have big ag dealers all within 20 min away with 7 different brands to choose.

I have 3 years left on the warranty. Hopefully it is somethng simple. My guess is that the regen is not working properly or the motor is running rich and leaving way too much carbon buildup inside the muffler.

They cleared the code which was a clogged muffler. I picked it up and went back to mowing. 15 minutes later it was in regen mode. 5 minutes later the flashing regen was on. I hit the regen and it ran for about 5 minutes and the CEL was back on. I pulled the sensor off the muffler. The rear tube was plugged up. I cleared the CEL and with the sensor off I did a regen. Tractor was running great for about 15 minutes and went back to the same as before. I brought it back after clearing the CEL and doing another regen. They are going to pull the exhaust to see if it is plugged up or smoking out of the exhaust manifold. I think the muffler is plugged solid. The other thing that I noticed was that the front exhaust sensor is already sooting up with less than 2 hours running time. I ran the motor with no load for 1 1/2 hours without any problems. The only time it has this issue is when mowing. The tractor is not working hard when mowing. I think it's running rich which may be why it is clogged up so quickly.

Me too, been there for 2 weeks now. They are very backed up with work. I don't need it right now but will pretty soon as the wood season draws near.

The saga continues. I called the dealer today about my tractor. They are waiting for a Rep call from Kioti on how to proceed with my repair and authorization for it. The dealer pulled my warranty records. There was work done to this tractor before I bought it. They think that it may have ECU issues from a previous welding job done at the original selling dealer??? I bought this tractor new with only a few hours on it. The mechanic has pulled the exhaust off of it. I was told that it is plugged up and you cannot see thru it. The ECU is saying that it is not clogged up and has a "0" reading. Normally you can see thru the system when it is apart. Kioti had their phone lines down for 4 days after the hurricane and the dealer is having problems getting in touch with them. He said that they have been calling the Rep daily for answers on how to proceed. I was told to call them back at the end of next week. Hopefully by then they will have a response from Kioti. The ECU has had an update done to it before I purchased it.

Thanks for the update, JimR. Sure hope Kioti and the dealer are about to turn the corner on this. It has to be very frustrating for you. Heck, I'm merely reading about it, and I'm frustrated! Repeat error codes; CEL warnings; short-cycling of regens; plugged exhaust. Potential for ECU damage due to previous onboard welding. Having to haul back and forth to the dealer. Even phone lines down at Kioti in Wendell for four days after the hurricane! :eek:

If it weren't such a bad pun, I'd say you're having a perfect storm of problems. Looking forward to better news soon!

You are so right, perfect storm of problems. Fortunately I have not needed my tractor other than for field mowing. I've been mowing the fields with my Cub Cadet 50 inch rider. I'm sure that eventually it will get fixed. Now I wonder what is causing the exhaust to plug up. I was told that if it was burning oil the exhaust converter would burn a hole in it from the heat of burning the oil residue. It will be interesting to see what they say about this problem.

Please keep us updated our 4510 is doing a very similar thing. It痴 in the field now won稚 start error code 008. Thinks the parking brake is not on and says it痴 in gear🙈

008 is supposed to be water in the fuel filter alarm. The mechanic told me that sometimes the ECU has so many codes that it blows this one as a ghost code. I didn't have any water in my fuel filter. The code never should have been triggered.

So I picked our NX4510 from the dealer after repair. The ticket says New Seat with Micro Switch style reset codes and adjusted the Position control.
My question is "New Style Seat Switch" and relation to code 008. What if we bypass safety switch all together?? Especially if it causes these kind of problems
But its running for now and starts which is better than when we dropped it off

I spoke with the dealer this morning about my tractor. They were able to clean out the exhaust canister. The Kioti Rep said to change out the exhaust differential switch on top of the canister and that should fix the problem. This switch is what tells the ECU to run a Regen as the pressure from the front and rear of the canister starts to have an imbalance, meaning that the canister is plugging up. Right now the parts manager is locating a switch for me. I hope that ends this problem.

Me too because it has been 4 weeks without a tractor. I am just glad I haven't really needed it yet for anything serious. I'm just putting off a few things until I get it back home, that probably won't be until next week sometime.
