good friend who used to live in Northern NJ sent this to me, just reposted to YouTube somewhat stabilized.
Can you just imagine seeing this on your front lawn?
kinda tough on the landscaping though.

Pretty sure the smart thing to do is stay a nice telescopic distance away.
NorthWest NJ is very mountainous and the bear population is pretty large.
Too bad they don't eat deer.

I have four strands of barbed wire buried in a good bit of the surrounding tree line. Always wondered what a bear would do when
it meets it. I guess it depends upon his/her mood.

I've seen quite a few solitary bear and a few families but never two alpha wannabes going toe to toe.
I was just waiting for that Volvo to get trashed but it may have escaped.

That is quite a video. I give both rounds to the one with the sleeker coat. I think they were both getting pretty tired and missing a heck of a lot of fur though.

Bears in NJ don't eat deer?

They do in the western USA. They can really get after fawns and calves (elk and cattle).

Looks like they need to shoot some bears in NJ after seeing that and the recent fatal attack.

I wonder if there is some bear ettiquette/social awareness that tells them only to bite in certain places.
Would not be hard to hamstring an animal and it would die from that in the wild.

No way that's NJ -- someone would have driven up and laid on the horn, mistaking them for two large brown trucks blocking the road.
