Engine Temperature Seem To Always Be Low

/ Engine Temperature Seem To Always Be Low #21
When I got my old L225 I changed the stat to a 180' thinking it would run better and live longer.....it came from the factory with a 190' stat......it seemed to run fine but a little on the rich side.....auto parts store didn't have a 190' is the reason I went with the 180'.....after 20 or so hours and the seemingly rich running I switched it to a 195' (all I could get, no 190') and what a difference it made...runs much better, no rich smell and I believe it has more "get up and go"....just my 2 cents....

I will keep an eye on mine to see if it runs smelly rich. I think it runs 20% better now with the new thermostat. My tractor calls for a 180.
