Engine pull

Has anyone had any experience with the 74' Case 446 specifically the engine cooling shrouds that wrap the entire engine. Im trying to take off the carb and install a new one or clean the old one and check the intake manifold gaskets. I've tried everything and still no luck. As far as I can tell I have to take off all the mounting bolts from the back of the dash and disconnect the love joy and pretty much pull the whole engine. I don't have much experience with pulling out engines and don't know the full extent of how to disconnect the lovejoy etc. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

This may be a little late, but you dont have to remove the engine to work on the carb.
